The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup is currently underway in Qatar, with the quarter‑finals scheduled for December 10‑11. One of the most anticipated fixtures is the Morocco versus Syria match, which will kick off on Thursday afternoon at Khalifa International Stadium. It will be followed by another quarter‑final between Palestine and Saudi Arabia.

Morocco, coached by Tarik Sektioui, entered the knockout stage as the leader of Group B, having amassed seven points with victories over Saudi Arabia and Comoros and a draw against Oman. Syria qualified as the runner‑up of Group A with five points, after drawing with Palestine and Qatar and defeating Tunisia. Morocco is aiming for its second Arab Cup title, having previously won the tournament in 2012, and its preparations and tactics will be tested against Syria in the quarter‑final. The winner will advance to the next round to face other top teams.

Additional quarter‑final matches are set for Friday, featuring Jordan versus Iraq and Algeria versus the United Arab Emirates. The results of these games will determine the semi‑finalists and ultimately the contenders for the championship.
