Former Peoples Democratic Party chairman and former Nigerian ambassador to South Korea, Desmond Akawor, praised Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, calling him a key figure in Rivers State politics. Akawor, who served as Director‑General of Wike’s 2015 governorship campaign, made the comments while leading a delegation to celebrate Wike’s 58th birthday at the minister’s Abuja residence.
