President Bola Tinubu praised Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike on his 58th birthday, calling him a top performer in his cabinet. Wike, who celebrated his birthday on 13 December 2025, has been instrumental in transforming the Federal Capital Territory through infrastructure development. In a statement by the President’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu thanked God for Wike’s life of purpose, service and courage, and highlighted the minister’s recent intervention in the construction of the Apo‑Karshi road, a project that had been stalled for 14 years.

The President commended Wike’s resilience and commitment to excellence, describing him as a “shining star” in the cabinet. He praised Wike’s consistency in delivering results and wished him strength to continue his good work in the capital city. Wike’s efforts have earned him the moniker “Mr Project,” a nickname that now extends beyond his home state of Rivers. His achievements in the Federal Capital Territory demonstrate his ability to overcome obstacles and deliver tangible outcomes, with the Apo‑Karshi road project standing out as a notable example.

The President’s praise acknowledges Wike’s hard work and dedication to his role as minister, and with continued support, Wike is poised to drive further growth and progress, improving the lives of residents and visitors alike.
