The conference, held at Nebo Hall, Abalti Barracks in Lagos State, provided a platform for the Nigerian Army to review its operational posture and align future strategies with national security priorities. Musa emphasized the importance of unity of effort, joint operations, intelligence sharing, and coordinated planning among security agencies to tackle Nigeria’s complex security challenges. He described the event as a critical strategic forum, especially given the evolving security environment.
Nigeria continues to confront a range of threats, including terrorism, insurgency, banditry, and transnational crime, which require sustained strategic focus and adaptive leadership. Musa noted that maintaining peace and stability is a key pillar of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The Ministry of Defence will keep providing strategic direction, policy support, and capability development to ensure the Armed Forces of Nigeria remain professional and responsive.
The minister paid tribute to wounded personnel and their families, acknowledging their sacrifices and reaffirming that their welfare and medical care remain a top priority.
