The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has announced its third petrol price reduction in December 2025. According to a survey conducted by a Media Talk Africa correspondent at filling stations in Abuja, the company has lowered its petrol price to N835 per liter, a decrease of N80 from the previous price of N915.
This adjustment follows earlier price cuts by other major fuel retailers, including MRS, BOVAS, and AA Rano, which reviewed their fuel pump prices to between N739 and N865 per liter in the nation’s capital. The price reduction by NNPCL and other filling stations comes on the heels of a similar move by Dangote Refinery and depot owners, who slashed their ex-depot price to between N699 and N800.
