Tinubu Visit: Bauchi Govt Appeals for Calm

The Bauchi State Government has urged residents to remain calm and law-abiding during President Bola Tinubu’s upcoming condolence visit to the state. The visit follows the passing of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi. According to a statement released by Governor Bala Mohammed’s media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, the President is scheduled to arrive in Bauchi on Saturday.

In preparation for the visit, the government has appealed to residents to cooperate with security agencies deployed across the state to ensure a smooth and safe visit. Some major roads leading to the Sheikh’s mosque and other key locations will be temporarily closed or diverted between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. for security and traffic management purposes. Residents have been advised to plan their movements accordingly and avoid restricted areas to minimize disruptions.

The government has acknowledged that the temporary road closures may cause some inconvenience, but expressed appreciation for the residents’ cooperation. The state government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and order while honoring the legacy of the late Islamic scholar. Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s teachings had a profound impact on Bauchi State, Nigeria, and the wider Muslim community.

The visit is expected to be a dignified tribute to Sheikh Bauchi’s memory, and the government is working to ensure that it passes without incident.

The Bauchi State Government’s efforts to manage the visit and minimize disruptions reflect its commitment to maintaining stability and security in the state. As the residents of Bauchi prepare to receive President Tinubu, they are also paying their respects to a revered figure who played a significant role in shaping the state’s Islamic heritage. The visit is a testament to the enduring legacy of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, and the government’s efforts to honor his memory will be closely watched by the local and international community.
