The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a detailed timetable for its upcoming nationwide ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses, culminating in the party’s national convention. The schedule, issued by APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru, complies with Articles 11 and 17 of the APC Constitution and is designed to elect officials at every level of the party.

Membership e‑registration will open on 1 December 2025 and run until 30 January 2026. On 2 February 2026, notices of congresses will be sent to state and Federal Capital Territory chapters. The purchase and submission of forms for ward and local‑government‑area (LGA) congresses are slated for 4–9 February 2026, followed by the inauguration of screening committees on 10 February 2026. Aspirants will be screened from 11 to 13 February 2026.

Ward congresses are set for 18 February 2026, with any appeals heard on 19 February. LGA congresses, which will also elect delegates to the national convention, will take place on 20 February, with appeals scheduled for 21 February. At the state level, the purchase of forms for state‑executive positions will run from 23 to 27 February 2026. Screening and appeals for state executives are planned for late February and early March, and state congresses will be held on 7 March 2026.

Zonal congresses across the six geopolitical zones are scheduled for 21 March 2026. The APC National Convention will then convene from 25 to 28 March 2026, bringing together party members nationwide to elect new leaders and set the party’s direction.

The comprehensive schedule provides a clear roadmap for the congresses and the national convention, ensuring a smooth, organized process. By publishing this timetable, the APC demonstrates its commitment to transparency and accountability, offering party members and stakeholders a definitive timeline as the party prepares for a pivotal moment that will shape its future leadership and direction.
