APC Chairman Backs Alia’s 2027 Re-election Bid

The Benue State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Benjamin Omale, has reaffirmed his support for the re-election of Governor Hyacinth Alia in the 2027 governorship election. This declaration was made during a meeting with party members and stakeholders at his residence in Makurdi, the state capital. The gathering, described as a show of unity and strength, aimed to express gratitude for the party’s progress and to reiterate commitment to the APC’s goals ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon Omale emphasized the importance of cohesion among party members, particularly in the lead-up to the 2027 elections, where the re-election of Governor Alia is a priority. He commended the party’s youths for their unwavering support, likening their dedication to that of “homefront soldiers.” The meeting also served as an opportunity to appreciate the loyalty and sacrifices of party members, including youths and women, who have consistently supported the APC at all levels.

Mr Terver Gbanda, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Mobilisation and Illegal Levies, praised Hon Omale’s leadership, noting its impact on the party’s growth in the state. He described the meeting as timely and necessary, as it would bolster the bonds among party members, thereby strengthening their collective efforts towards achieving Governor Alia’s re-election in 2027.

The meeting underscores the APC’s strategic efforts to consolidate support and reinforce unity among its ranks as the 2027 elections approach. With Governor Alia’s re-election being a key objective, the party is proactive in fostering a strong, cohesive front. The success of such efforts will be crucial in determining the outcome of the 2027 governorship election in Benue State. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the APC’s ability to maintain unity and garner support will be closely watched.
