The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has launched an electronic membership registration drive to create a comprehensive digital database of its members. The e‑registration initiative, which began on Monday, will run until the end of January and targets both existing and new members.
According to Seye Oladejo, the party’s spokesperson, the digital registration process is designed to enhance internal democracy, improve data accuracy, and prepare the party for upcoming elections. By adopting digital registration, the party seeks to eliminate duplication and impersonation, ensuring that every member is accurately documented and verifiable. Oladejo emphasized that a credible and reliable membership registry is essential for conducting transparent congresses, primaries, and leadership selection processes.
