Nollywood actress Bolaji Ogunmola has expressed frustration with United Nigeria Airline after her flight was cancelled twice in two days. The actress, who was in Ekiti State for work, was scheduled to return to Lagos State for another filming project on Wednesday. However, her flight was delayed without any communication from the airline, leaving her stranded.
According to Ogunmola, she arrived at the airport on Wednesday, only to be told that the flight had been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. After waiting for several hours, she was informed that the flight had been cancelled. The airline allegedly offered no alternative arrangements or explanations, prompting Ogunmola to seek alternative travel options.
The following day, Ogunmola claimed that the airline rescheduled her flight multiple times, with the departure time changing from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, and eventually to 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm. This disruption has caused significant inconvenience to the actress, who is now facing delays in her work schedule.
Ogunmola has stated that she intends to take legal action against the airline, citing the disruption to her livelihood and the lack of communication from the airline. In a video posted on her Instagram page, she expressed her frustration, stating that the airline’s actions were “unfair” and “unremorseful.”
This incident comes barely a month after the commencement of commercial flight operations in Ekiti State. The development has raised concerns about the reliability and efficiency of air travel services in the region. Ogunmola’s experience highlights the need for improved communication and customer service from airlines, particularly in cases where flights are delayed or cancelled.
The actress’s decision to take legal action against the airline may set a precedent for others who have experienced similar difficulties with air travel services. As the aviation industry continues to grow and expand in Nigeria, it is essential for airlines to prioritize customer satisfaction and provide reliable services to maintain public trust.
