Nuggets Injury Report: Jokic Out

The Denver Nuggets are facing a challenging period with a wave of injuries affecting their core players. Ahead of their game against the Atlanta Hawks, the team has listed nine players on the injury report, including key starters and rotational players.

Nikola Jokic, Cam Johnson, and Jonas Valanciunas have been ruled out once again. Jokic is recovering from a left knee bruise and is expected to return after the All-Star break if his rehabilitation goes smoothly. Johnson and Valanciunas remain sidelined with no timeline for their return due to a right knee bone bruise and a right calf strain, respectively.

Spencer Jones, a regular starter, is listed as questionable due to left ankle inflammation and illness. He played only nine minutes in the Nuggets’ previous game against the Boston Celtics, which they won 114-110 on the road. Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Christian Braun, who are all starters when healthy, are listed as probable. Murray is dealing with a left ankle sprain and an illness, while Gordon is still recovering from a right hamstring strain and Braun has a left ankle sprain.

The Nuggets have also listed Bruce Brown as questionable with right knee inflammation. He played 19 minutes and scored four points against the Celtics. The team’s injury woes will be a significant challenge as they host the Atlanta Hawks at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, on Friday. The game will tip off at 9 p.m. EST and will be telecast live on Altitude Sports and FanDuel Sports Network Southeast, with live streaming available on the NBA League Pass and Fubo.

The Nuggets’ injury report highlights the team’s current struggles and the need for players to recover quickly. With several key players sidelined, the team will have to rely on their depth and bench players to step up and perform. The game against the Hawks will be a crucial test for the Nuggets as they look to navigate this challenging period and maintain their position in the league.
