WWE Legend Rikishi Shares Honest Opinion On Dominik Mysterio

WWE legend Rikishi has shared his thoughts on reigning Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio. The double champion is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, but is not expected to miss a significant amount of time.

On the first episode of his podcast, Rikishi’s Off The Top, in 2026, Rikishi discussed the past year, including the breakout stars of 2026, with Dominik Mysterio’s name being mentioned. Rikishi was asked to give his take on the Judgment Day member’s year, to which he replied that Dominik is “definitely smart” and “definitely talented in the ring.” He also acknowledged the weight of carrying the Mysterio name, given his father’s legacy in Lucha Libre.

Dominik Mysterio has been improving in all facets of pro wrestling, with WWE trusting him to perform on RAW and AAA. He was fortunate to not suffer a serious injury in his last match of 2025 at Guerras de Titanes on December 20. After a few days of silence, WWE acknowledged that Dominik Mysterio was dealing with a shoulder injury. However, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the injury does not require surgery, and Dominik is expected to return in a few weeks.

The timing of his return could be significant, with the Royal Rumble approaching. This could provide an opportunity for Dominik Mysterio to make a surprise return, setting him up for the Road to WrestleMania 42. With his injury not being as severe as initially thought, fans can expect to see him back in the ring soon. The upcoming weeks will be crucial in determining the direction of his career, particularly with the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 42 on the horizon.
