Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has revalidated his membership in the All Progressives Congress (APC) as part of the party’s nationwide e-revalidation and registration exercise. The process was overseen by the State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, along with other state officials. Through his Media Aide, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni encouraged all party members to participate in the exercise, emphasizing the importance of documentation for every member.
Governor Buni stressed that no member should be disenfranchised and that the party’s numerical strength should be reflected through the documentation of its membership. As the leading party in the state and Nigeria, he advised that every member should either register or have their membership revalidated. This call aims to ensure that all members are accounted for and active within the party, particularly in light of upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, Chairman of the APC in Yobe State, has also urged party members across the state to actively participate in the ongoing e-membership registration and revalidation exercise. He highlighted the crucial role of effective grassroots mobilization and awareness creation in the success of the exercise. Furthermore, Gadaka encouraged residents of Yobe State to participate in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), emphasizing the importance of political participation in democratic consolidation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
During a meeting with members of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Gadaka briefed them on the progress of the APC e-membership registration and revalidation exercise. He encouraged party leaders and stakeholders to not only participate in the exercise but also to mobilize and create awareness at the grassroots level. The Speaker of the Yobe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, appreciated the APC leadership and Governor Mai Mala Buni for leading by example in the new membership registration exercise. The honourable members expressed their readiness to mobilize support at the grassroots to ensure the success of the APC e-membership registration exercise.
The ongoing registration and revalidation exercise is part of the APC’s efforts to strengthen its membership and prepare for future elections. By encouraging all members to participate and ensuring that every member is documented, the party aims to demonstrate its numerical strength and commitment to democratic processes. As the 2027 general elections approach, the success of this exercise will be crucial in determining the party’s performance and influence in Nigerian politics.
