Ganduje Returns to Nigeria, Set to Engage in APC Politics

Former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has returned to Nigeria after an extended stay in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Ganduje, also a past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Saturday via an Emirates Airlines flight. He later proceeded to Abuja in the evening.

Ganduje’s return is expected to mark the beginning of a series of political engagements, including meetings with party officials and stakeholders to discuss current developments in Kano State. According to his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, these meetings will focus on reviewing recent party developments and encouraging constructive engagement among key stakeholders.

The former APC leader is also set to participate in the party’s ongoing electronic membership registration programme, an initiative introduced during his tenure as national chairman. The e-registration exercise aims to digitize and strengthen the party’s membership system, improve internal organization, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Ganduje’s involvement in the registration programme underscores his commitment to consolidating party structures and promoting inclusive dialogue within the APC, particularly in Kano State. As stated by his office, the former governor remains dedicated to supporting democratic consolidation within the party through strengthened structures and open communication.

The electronic membership registration programme is a key aspect of the APC’s efforts to enhance internal democracy and organization. By leveraging technology to modernize its membership system, the party seeks to improve its overall efficiency and effectiveness. Ganduje’s participation in this initiative is expected to contribute to its success and reinforce his commitment to the party’s growth and development.

As Ganduje embarks on his series of political engagements, his focus on party consolidation and inclusive dialogue is likely to have significant implications for the APC’s presence in Kano State. With the party’s national leadership and stakeholders set to benefit from his experience and insight, Ganduje’s return to Nigeria is poised to be a significant development in the country’s political landscape.
