The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State, Nigeria, has embarked on a journey to rectify past mistakes and strengthen its chances of winning the 2027 election. According to the party’s chairman, Kingsley Ononogbu, disunity among members and sabotage of party interests were significant factors that hindered the APC’s success in the 2023 election. Ononogbu made these remarks while receiving members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at his office, stressing that the party has learned from its past defeats and is now working diligently to correct these mistakes.

The Abia APC chairman emphasized the importance of collaboration, accommodation, and sensitivity to other people’s feelings in achieving the party’s goals. He urged all party members to shun sabotage and work towards a common objective. Ononogbu also pledged his support to the Abia State chapter of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by Henry Ikoh, and other support groups in their grassroots sensitization efforts. The Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group working to promote the APC’s interests, has been engaged in activities aimed at ensuring the party’s victory in the state.

Henry Ikoh, the Abia State Coordinator of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, highlighted the group’s commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu and the APC in the state. The APC’s efforts to revamp its strategy and unify its members are crucial in the lead-up to the 2027 election. By acknowledging and addressing its past weaknesses, the party aims to increase its chances of success in Abia State. The support of groups like the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will be essential in achieving this goal. As the 2027 election approaches, the APC’s ability to learn from its mistakes and work towards a common objective will be critical in determining its success in the state.
