APC E-Registration To Sanitize Membership

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Dr. Peter Odey, has emphasized the significance of the ongoing e-registration exercise for the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that it will substantially improve the party’s membership sanity. He made this statement while revalidating his membership and reaffirming his loyalty to the party at his office on Thursday.

Dr. Odey believes that the e-registration initiative will enhance internal democracy within the party, ensuring that only dedicated and genuine members are involved in its affairs. He commended President Bola Tinubu for approving the exercise, which integrates National Identification Numbers (NIN), Voter Cards, and APC membership cards to boost credibility, transparency, and accountability.

The Deputy Governor urged APC members and supporters in the state to fully participate in the exercise, describing it as a crucial step towards building a stronger, data-driven, and election-ready party structure. He encouraged them to obtain digital certification as verified members of the APC, which will contribute to the party’s growth and development.

As a strong, progressive political movement, the APC has the potential to reposition Cross River State and Nigeria for long-term growth, according to Dr. Odey. He called on stakeholders at all levels to work together to strengthen party structures ahead of future political engagements. The Deputy Governor also appealed to party members, supporters, and the people of Cross River State to unite and intensify their support for Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing that the APC remains the only credible platform capable of delivering sustained development, economic stability, and inclusive governance.

The e-registration exercise is expected to play a significant role in shaping the party’s future and its ability to drive positive change in the state and country. With its focus on transparency, accountability, and internal democracy, the APC is poised to consolidate its position as a leading political force in Nigeria. As the exercise continues, it is likely to have a profound impact on the party’s membership and its overall direction, ultimately contributing to the development of a stronger, more effective political institution.
