The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed its commitment to the party and expressed readiness to win all elective positions in the 2027 general elections. This declaration was made by the State Publicity Secretary, Mrs Maria Dogo, while briefing journalists on the outcome of the party’s Expanded Caucus Meeting held in Kaduna.
The meeting, which was well-attended by party leaders, stakeholders, and members from across the state, aimed to review the party’s current state and brief members on ongoing national efforts to reposition and strengthen the PDP. Dogo stated that the meeting provided an opportunity for members to express their concerns and expectations ahead of future political engagements.
According to Dogo, the meeting discussed concrete steps being taken nationally to address internal challenges and reposition the party for future electoral contests. Members were given the opportunity to air their views, which helped to allay fears, restore confidence, and reinforce belief in the party’s future. The caucus unanimously resolved to remain united and committed to building a stronger PDP in Kaduna State and across the country.
The PDP, as Nigeria’s leading opposition party, is reportedly prepared to mobilize its members and emerge victorious in all elective contests in the 2027 general elections. The party has also resolved to remain open to strategic collaboration with other like-minded political parties and stakeholders to end the current governance structure and rescue Nigeria through credible leadership.
The caucus encouraged qualified party members to declare interest in contesting for elective offices, assuring them of fairness and adherence to internal democratic principles. Regular meetings will be held at all levels of the party structure to strengthen unity, communication, and grassroots mobilization.
The meeting ended on a note of renewed hope, unity, and collective determination to reposition the PDP as a credible alternative capable of delivering good governance to Nigerians. With the 2027 general elections approaching, the PDP’s renewed commitment to unity and electoral success is expected to have significant implications for Nigeria’s political landscape. As the party continues to reposition itself, its ability to mobilize support and deliver on its promises will be closely watched by voters and political analysts alike.
