Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has made a series of key appointments and promotions across various sectors, marking his first major personnel moves since joining the All Progressives Congress. In the water sector, Engr. Mukhtar Yusuf has been promoted to Managing Director of the Water Resources Engineering and Construction Agency, with Zakari Usman Balan appointed as Deputy Managing Director. The governor also approved the appointment of Dr. Mukhtar Bello Maisudan, a senior lecturer at Bayero University, as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board.
Additionally, Engr. Abba Kankarofi has been promoted to Managing Director of the Kano Road and Maintenance Agency, while Hon. Musayyib Kawu Ungoggo has been named Managing Director of the Kano Zoological Garden. The new appointees bring a range of experience to their roles, with Ungoggo having previously served as a councillor and Senior Special Reporter.
