Nigerian Actor Okemesi Alleges Spiritual Attack, Seeks Aid After Year-Long Absence
Nigerian actor and content creator Bamidele Tope Saint, widely recognized by his screen name Okemesi, has publicly appealed for assistance, claiming a spiritual attack has resulted in his homelessness and severe physical debilitation.
The actor, who has not appeared in productions for nearly a year, made the plea during an interview with fellow actor Tony Montana, which was subsequently shared online. Okemesi stated he is currently without shelter and is struggling to meet basic needs, directly asking his fans for support to regain stability, particularly with accommodation.
During the conversation, Okemesi detailed his experience. He alleged that a spiritual attack left him paralysed, requiring hospitalization at Island Hospital, where public contributions helped cover initial medical costs. He claimed his condition worsened, prompting relatives to intervene. His senior brother in Osogbo retrieved him and took him to an Islamic cleric for spiritual intervention.
Okemesi credited prayers and spiritual items provided by the cleric with enabling him to begin walking with crutches within hours of arrival. However, he reported that his brother subsequently suffered an accident and a marital crisis following their interaction. Forced to leave his brother’s residence, Okemesi said he has been residing on church premises without permanent shelter, food, or resources.
Tony Montana, reacting to Okemesi’s appearance, expressed shock at his condition, noting it would be difficult for fans to recognize him and emphasizing the severity of the situation described.
Okemesi’s case highlights the personal crises that can befall public figures, intertwining allegations of spiritual causation with tangible humanitarian needs. His appeal centres on securing housing and financial support to rebuild his life.
