The Southern Kaduna Youth Stakeholders Forum has endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Kaduna State, Uba Sani, and his running mate, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, as consensus candidates for the March 11 governorship polls. Speaking at a press conference in Kaduna, the state capital, the forum’s chairman, Mock Samuel‑Kure, described Sani as the best candidate to deliver if elected. He highlighted that, as a first‑time lawmaker, Sani sponsored numerous impactful bills for his constituents.
Samuel‑Kure appealed to the people of Kaduna State—especially those in Southern Kaduna—to vote en masse for Sani and Balarabe, emphasizing the need for both rural and urban transformation. He noted that Sani’s legislative record includes a significant number of sponsored bills and human‑development programs, such as scholarships for students and the procurement of a N4 billion project for his constituency: the Faculty of Engineering at Kaduna State University, currently under construction at its permanent site.
The chairman further detailed Sani’s tangible contributions across all seven local governments in his constituency. These include youth neighbourhood and sports centres, skill‑acquisition centres, training for more than 1,000 fish farmers with start‑up kits, and various health initiatives. He praised the current administration’s Urban Renewal Programme for revitalising the city centre and its adjoining communities, arguing that similar large‑scale projects should now extend to the rural areas of Southern Kaduna.
Based on these points, the Southern Kaduna Youth Stakeholders Forum resolved to adopt Senator Uba Sani as its APC governorship candidate for the March 11 election. The forum stressed that the region cannot afford to remain disconnected from the political centre and that Sani is the clear frontrunner. Having long played an opposition role without benefiting, the forum aims to leverage its numbers to mobilise votes and secure a victory, demonstrating that it is neither ethnically nor religiously biased. Finally, the forum pledged to continue engaging with Sani after his election and swearing‑in to ensure he fulfills the promises made to the people of Kaduna State, particularly those in Southern Kaduna.
