Nollywood actress and politician Rita Daniels has received two new vehicles from her daughter, fellow film star Regina Daniels, a gesture she described as a early Valentine’s Day gift during a period of personal transportation difficulty.
Daniels shared the news via an Instagram post on Wednesday, accompanied by a video showing her dancing beside a Toyota Land Cruiser and a Toyota Hilux. She wrote that her daughter provided the vehicles after she had been left without reliable transport. According to her post, a previous car gifted by Regina was damaged in an accident, and another vehicle she was using was subsequently reclaimed, leaving her with limited mobility.
Daniels stated she initially struggled to communicate her predicament to her daughter due to Regina’s own circumstances. “It took me a while to tell my daughter I didn’t have means of movement… the other car she bought for me was involved in an accident, the remaining one I was using was taken away,” she explained. She expressed profound gratitude, tagging Regina and writing, “Thank you my forever pride.”
Regina Daniels, a prominent and widely followed figure in Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood, began her acting career in childhood and maintains significant popularity across social media. The gesture highlights a supportive family dynamic amid the Daniels’ matriarch’s public engagements.
Beyond her entertainment career, Rita Daniels is active in politics, having served as Delta State Assistant Treasurer for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2020. The gifting of the two utility vehicles resolves a practical challenge she faced, ensuring her mobility for both personal and professional commitments, including any political activities in Delta State. The incident underscores the intersection of celebrity family support and the logistical realities public figures may encounter outside their professional spotlight.
