Benue APC Congresses Record Peaceful Conduct, High Turnout

The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of its local government non-elective congresses, held across the state on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The party’s publicity secretary, Daniel Ihomun, released a statement describing the process as transparent and impressive in its turnout, reflecting strong internal discipline and organisational capacity.

According to the statement, the massive participation of party members during the congresses underscores sustained confidence in the state leadership and the party’s ideals. The exercises resulted in the reaffirmation of existing local government party executives for another four-year tenure. Ihomun stated that this reaffirmation constitutes a clear endorsement of the executives’ stewardship and the trust placed in them by members.
