VeryDarkMan calls Mitchy apology decoy, fears for life

Nigerian activist and social media personality VeryDarkMan has publicly expressed grave concerns for his safety, alleging that a recent apology from socialite King Mitchy is a strategic distraction masking deeper threats. His statements, made via Instagram, directly link the apology to a broader pattern of intimidation and suggest potential involvement by influential figures.

The incident stems from a public dispute between VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy. In a video shared on Sunday, Mitchy addressed VeryDarkMan directly, acknowledging his advocacy for Nigeria and apologizing for her previous confrontational stance. “To VeryDarkMan, my brother, I see what you’re fighting for… I’m sorry for coming at you like that,” she stated, adding that he needed more supporters.

However, VeryDarkMan rejected the apology as insincere. He suggested Mitchy’s conciliatory remarks were a “decoy” intended to mislead the public. He pointed to a recent incident involving influencer Lege Miami, who posted a direct video about VeryDarkMan before deleting it and claiming he received “calls from above.” VeryDarkMan implied Mitchy’s apology was coordinated to deflect attention from similar pressures.

He went further, stating he had been specifically targeted and named individuals he believed should be held accountable. “If anything happens to me, hold Mitchy and Seyi Tinubu responsible,” he said, referring to the son of a prominent Nigerian politician. VeryDarkMan alleged that during the earlier dispute, Mitchy had sent intimidating messages to mutual contacts, which were eventually relayed to him. He criticized both Seyi Tinubu and Mitchy for omitting this detail in their public statements, citing it as the source of his ongoing fear.

The activist also issued a preemptive warning against potential framing attempts. He claimed that any future reports of discovering drugs, fraud, money laundering, or firearms in his possession or associated with his associates would be a deliberate setup by his alleged adversaries. “Anything these people do, anything to send me to prison,” he stated.

This public airing of perceived threats underscores the heightened tensions and personal risks有时 faced by outspoken social media figures and activists in Nigeria’s digital space. VeryDarkMan’s allegations transform a public reconciliation into a declaration of personal danger, pointing to unseen pressures within the country’s socio-political landscape. The situation now places a spotlight on the named individuals and raises questions about the boundaries of online conflict and offline security.
