Shell Awards Ardova for Excellence in Nigerian Lubricants

Shell has awarded its top distributor honour to Ardova Plc, recognising the Nigerian company’s leadership and operational excellence in the local lubricants market. The Special Recognition Award was presented during the 2025 Shell Macro Distributors Cup in Milan, Italy.

The award highlights Ardova’s performance as Shell’s authorised macro distributor in Nigeria, praising its consistent delivery focus and role in expanding the reach of high-performance lubricants across West Africa’s largest economy. The Shell Macro Distributors Cup is an elite global forum for key partners within Shell’s international lubricants network.

Receiving the award, Korede Odufuwa, Assistant General Manager for Shell Lubricants Marketing at Ardova, attributed the success to the team and the partnership. “This recognition reflects the dedication and collaborative spirit of the Ardova team as well as the strength of our partnership with Shell,” he stated. “We remain committed to delivering high-quality lubricant solutions, driving operational excellence, and creating lasting value for our customers and partners across Nigeria.”

Ardova’s Managing Director, Moshood Olajide, described the accolade as a benchmark for the company’s strategic goals. He emphasised the depth of the Shell-Ardova alliance: “Our partnership with Shell is founded on a shared vision to drive innovation and make premium energy solutions accessible to Nigerians. This award is a testament to the collective will and expertise required to bridge the gap between ambition and action in our industry.”

Shell representatives specifically commended Ardova’s “delivery focus,” noting its significant contribution to the lubricants business in Nigeria’s competitive landscape.

For Ardova Plc, the global recognition reinforces its position as a major player in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector. A company statement added that the award would catalyse further market penetration and uphold standards. “We are not just distributing products; we are powering industries,” it noted.

The honour marks a key milestone in Ardova’s 2025 calendar, underscoring a year of expansion and strengthened collaboration with Shell. It signals growing confidence in the partnership’s ability to shape Nigeria’s lubricants market and deliver on shared commercial and operational objectives.
