The suspect, a Syrian-Palestinian national who also holds Ukrainian citizenship, was initially detained by Hezbollah forces in September 2025. Security teams intercepted a motorcycle fitted with improvised explosives along a key access route to Beirut’s international airport, a zone that has seen repeated security escalations.
