Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe Eye Tolu Arokodare Transfer This Summer

Istanbul giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are set to compete for the signature of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare this summer, according to transfer expert Ekrem Konur.

The 23-year-old forward joined Wolverhampton Wanderers from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk last summer, but his future at Molineux is now uncertain following the club’s struggles in the Premier League. Wolves currently sit at the bottom of the table and face almost certain relegation to the Championship.

Both Turkish powerhouses are reportedly keen to secure Arokodare on loan, hoping to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season. Beşiktaş, the third major club in Istanbul, is also said to be monitoring the situation.

Arokodare, who has made a name for himself with his physical presence and goal-scoring ability in Belgium, signed a long-term contract with Wolves that runs until 2029. However, with the club preparing for life outside the Premier League, a loan move could be mutually beneficial—allowing the player to gain regular first-team football while giving Wolves the opportunity to assess his development.

The Nigerian international’s potential move to Turkey would not be unprecedented, as the Süper Lig has become an increasingly popular destination for African talent in recent years. Both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have a history of recruiting promising young forwards, and Arokodare’s profile fits their recruitment strategy.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the battle for Arokodare’s signature is likely to intensify, with all three Istanbul clubs eager to secure a player who could make an immediate impact in Turkish football.
