Apostle Selman donates N200m worth relief materials to victim — Daily Nigerian

JOS, NIGERIA — Apostle Joshua Selman, President of Koinonia Global Ministries, has made a significant donation of relief items valued at N200 million to Governor Caleb Mutfwang for victims of recent attacks in Plateau State. This donation was presented on Wednesday during a condolence visit by Selman and other prominent clergymen to the governor in Jos. The relief package comprises N100 million in cash, along with 3,000 bags of rice and oil, which are worth over N100 million and will be distributed to affected families.

During the presentation, Selman underscored the importance of showing concern and empathy in challenging times. He stated, “As sons of Plateau, it is our responsibility to identify with the state in this challenging period. While these palliatives cannot bring back lost lives, they can bring solace to grieving families.” The cleric also expressed optimism for the future of the state, encouraging residents not to lose hope. “There is still hope for Plateau,” he told Governor Mutfwang. “Someday we will look back and thank you for your resilience.”

Governor Mutfwang welcomed Selman’s generous gesture, commending his commitment to the state as a native son. He urged all stakeholders to follow the preacher’s example of kindness and contribute to the development of Plateau. “The preservation of Plateau is a divine project that requires collective effort,” the governor remarked. “This is a land that God has set on a hill, and we must take that responsibility seriously.”

Additionally, the governor expressed gratitude to God for protecting the state from potentially worse attacks while acknowledging the need for ongoing vigilance and action to prevent future incidents. This donation comes at a time when Plateau State is grappling with ongoing security challenges, as communities have faced repeated attacks resulting in loss of lives and property. The state government is actively working to address these issues through various measures aimed at improving security and supporting affected communities.
