The National Leadership of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) has suspended Umar Isa, the acting chairman of the party in Kaduna State, citing alleged anti‑party activities. The suspension was communicated in a letter jointly signed by the National Chairman, Engr. Yabagi Sani, and the National Secretary, Hon. Victor Fingesi. The letter, dated Wednesday, March 8, 2023, states that the suspension takes effect immediately.

According to the letter, the National Working Committee received complaints from both officials and members of the ADP in Kaduna State, alleging that Isa had engaged in numerous actions that disadvantaged and discredited the party. The committee emphasized that, at this critical time of electioneering—when political parties are working hard to garner support and win seats in the general elections—Isa’s conduct constitutes an anti‑party violation of the party’s Constitution, specifically Article 52.2.

Consequently, the letter declares that Isa is suspended from his position as Acting State Chairman of Kaduna State until further notice. Additionally, he is directed to hand over all party materials and paraphernalia in his possession to the ADP state deputy chairman without delay.
