Olakunle Churchill Breaks Silence on Rumors, Kids First

Actress Tonto Dikeh’s former husband, Olakunle Churchill, has responded to circulating rumours that he is divorcing his current wife, Rosy Meurer.

The speculation began after reports surfaced that Meurer filed for divorce on 20 April 2026, allegedly prompted by Churchill’s renewed closeness to Dikeh following the 10th birthday of his son, King Andre, three months earlier.

In an Instagram Story posted on Friday, Churchill addressed the rumours, stating: “As a father, if I’m ever in a place where I have to pick between my kids or anyone/anything else, I’m picking my kids. Period.” The statement was presented as a clarification of his priorities rather than a comment on the marital status.

The divorce narrative first emerged online after Churchill was seen reconciling with Dikeh in January 2026, nine years after their contentious split. Churchill later clarified on Instagram that the reunion was limited to co‑parenting responsibilities and did not signal a romantic relationship. Photographs and videos of the two together have been widely shared since then, fueling further conjecture.

Meurer, who became involved with Churchill shortly after his separation from Dikeh, married him in 2019, two years after his divorce from the actress. Prior to the current rumours, she was described as having a close relationship with the former couple.

While Churchill’s recent statement emphasizes his commitment to his children, no legal documentation confirming a divorce filing by Meurer has been made public. The couple’s next legal steps remain unclear.

The situation highlights the challenges of managing public perception in high‑profile relationships, especially when former partners re‑engage in co‑parenting roles. Observers will be watching for any formal court filings or further statements from the parties involved.
