Efe, who recently defeated influencer Portable to claim the title of Nigeria’s celebrity‑boxing champion, said he now wants to test his skills against the internationally recognised singer. “The person I want to fight with now is Wizkid, and I want his son, Boluwatife, to be there too. Let him come and collect the championship from me if he is man enough,” he declared on the broadcast, adding that he wants Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, present when the champion’s belt might be transferred.
The request follows a period of tension between the two entertainers. In 2022, Efe released a tribute track titled “Manchala” in honor of Wizkid, later accusing the Starboy label head of insufficient support for the song’s promotion. Wizkid has not publicly responded to either the grievance or the current boxing challenge.
