In a statement issued on Saturday in Ado‑Ekiti, the group hailed Bola Tinubu’s emergence as president‑elect as the best development Nigeria has seen in recent times. National Leader Prof. Atilade Adeeyo dismissed the attempts by the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party to overturn Tinubu’s victory through the tribunal, calling them futile. He warned that the challenges mounted by the two runners‑up—PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and LP’s Peter Obi—would not produce any positive outcome and urged them to accept defeat honourably so the country could move forward.
Adeeyo portrayed Tinubu as a strategic, patriotic leader whose strong political structure spans the six geo‑political zones of the nation. He praised Tinubu’s electoral success, saying the candidate “is a beautiful bride that all Nigerians love.” According to Adeeyo, Tinubu’s impressive track record as a great, patriotic leader was evident during his tenure as governor of Lagos State, where he deployed competence and the enduring capacities of a pan‑Nigeria cabinet to achieve remarkable development.
The National Leader added that Tinubu is beloved by most patriotic Nigerians because he builds people up rather than pulling them down. This, he argued, will ensure that Nigerians experience the best of governance under his presidency. Adeeyo also assured the nation’s youth that Tinubu will address their aspirations for a brighter future once he assumes power.
Concluding, he declared, “We are standing up for our nation, and Nigeria will work again. The families of those who died after the annulment of the 1993 presidential election will wish the annulment had never happened.” Speaking on behalf of thousands of members of the NADECO Renewal Group, Adeeyo urged Nigerians to allow peace to prevail so they can enjoy the renewed hope promised by the president‑elect.
