Location, Time, and Resources Shape Every Destiny, Ayo Akerele Explains

Ayo Akerele explains how location, time, men, and resources shape destinies. Discover biblical insights on connecting life's hidden dots with God's guidance.

Destiny is never a straight line. It is full of hidden dots that only God can see and connect. Dr. Tony Evans once said, “You can be walking with God on a highway, and He suddenly makes a bend on you.” Those bends are detours. They bring confusion, swift changes, and one simple truth: destiny is not linear. There are dots you cannot see and others you can see but cannot connect. Behind it all is God, the One who figures it out.

Look at the Bible. Mary had to be in Nazareth to carry baby Jesus. Daniel had to be in Babylon to receive visions of the last days. Joseph had to be a slave in Egypt to fulfill his destiny. Paul had to go to Macedonia to bring the gospel to Europe. These locations were not random. God connected their locational dots.

Location is the first dot. It is not just geography. It is spiritual, marital, physical, career, calling, and positional. When God wants to visit you, He sends His angels to these locations. Satan also has a strategic interest in your location. He tries to tie you down in the wrong places or pull you out of the right ones. Herod asked where Jesus was born because he knew location mattered.

What can you do? Treat relocation as a spiritual transaction, not a career move. Before moving cities or accepting a job abroad, ask: “Lord, is this my Nazareth or my Egypt?” Your breakthrough may not be in the most glamorous city, but in the most God-ordained one.

Time is the second dot. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Life’s twists and detours often make us think we are wasting time. We complain about age. But God is the time umpire. He determines when the game is up. Psalm 31:15 says, “My times are in Your hand.” Time is a weapon in God’s hands, not Satan’s or anyone else’s. He uses it to position you.

These four dots—location, time, men, and resources—are ordinary but complex. They require strong discernment, prayer, obedience, and a humble heart. God is working behind the scenes, but you must walk with Him to make these dots connectable.
