Governorship election: Atiku tells Nigerians candidates to vote on Saturday

With three days to the governorship election, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has hinted at candidates Nigerians should vote for on Saturday.

Atiku urged Nigerians to vote for candidates of the PDP during Saturday’s governorship and state House of Assembly elections across the country.

The former Vice President said Saturday’s election would expose the presidential poll as a sham.

He spoke in a video addressing Nigerians which was circulated by his spokesman, Paul Ibe, on Wednesday.

“As the March 18 governorship and House of Assembly elections beckon, I urge you as patriotic citizens to come out in your numbers to cast your votes because that is one of the ways you can use to demonstrate against the sham of an election on February 25.

“As you cast your votes peacefully this Saturday in observance of the electoral and INEC guidelines, be sure to do so for the candidates of the PDP, the only truly national party for the greater and prosperous Nigeria,” Atiku said.
