On a bright Lagos morning, the hum of washing machines replaced the usual brunch chatter as Aspira Nigeria Limited, the makers of Viva Detergent, launched its Lifestyle Mini Brunch series with an event that turned fabric care into a social affair. The maiden edition, aptly named “Come Wash with Hilda,” unfolded at Wasche Point Laundromat in Lekki, drawing a curated crowd of lifestyle influencers, digital creators, and devoted members of The Clean Collective community.

The gathering was more than just a meet-and-greet with Viva brand ambassador Hilda Baci, the Guinness World Record-holding chef. It was a hands-on masterclass in keeping clothes looking their best. Attendees watched live laundry demonstrations, explored the full range of Viva products, and engaged in candid conversations about the everyday struggles of keeping fabrics fresh and lasting.

Ruth Okunnuga, founder of Wasche Point Laundromat, brought a professional edge to the session, sharing practical tips on garment maintenance and fabric preservation. She underscored how Viva’s lineup, from Viva Plus to VivaMATIC and Viva Plus Gold, is built for machine washing, delivering a deep clean while staying gentle on materials. For Okunnuga, the partnership was a natural fit, a shared push to make laundry less of a chore and more of a seamless routine.

Barbara Onianwah, Head of Marketing at Aspira Nigeria Limited, framed the initiative as a brand promise that goes beyond the shelf. “We believe laundry is more than just getting clothes clean; it’s about helping people take better care of the things that matter to them,” she said. “Every garment has a story, and with the right fabric care habits and quality detergents, those clothes can look better and last longer. That’s why we’re creating experiences like ‘Come Wash with Hilda’, to share practical knowledge, answer everyday questions and help consumers get the very best from every wash.”

Guests got a close look at how each product performs, with demonstrations highlighting stain removal, long-lasting freshness, and ease of use across different fabric types and washing methods. The event is part of a broader push by Viva to shift consumer habits toward smarter, more informed fabric care, meeting people in settings that feel familiar rather than transactional.

With this brunch series, Aspira Nigeria Limited is weaving itself deeper into the fabric of Nigerian households, offering not just cleaning solutions but a growing awareness that proper care starts with the right choices.
