The seven-track project delivers an authentic sanctuary experience, recorded live and featuring Bassey leading the majority of the session himself.
Vocalist Mirabel Ekezie joins Bassey for the album’s sole featured performance on “Onye Kam Ga Si Na Oyiri Gi.” The tracklist moves through declarations including “Agbanilagbatan,” “Praise the Lord” and “The Potentate,” before concluding with “New Beauty.”
Two moments on the record carry significant backstories shared by Bassey. “The Battle Belongs to God” — a medley co-written with Joshua Selman that incorporates “You Are You and Jehovah Nissi” — captures a declaration of victory rooted in 2 Chronicles 20:15. Bassey described the session as a timely sound in season, reminding believers that every struggle ultimately rests in divine hands.
“Glory To God in the Highest” emerged spontaneously during a church worship service. Bassey recounted hearing the melody filter down from the heavenly throne room, noting that the presence and breath of God rest heavily on the song for anyone seeking a deeper encounter in praise.
