Elections: No hijack, conversion of homes to collation centres in Rivers – Hilda Dokubo warns

Ahead of the March 18 Gubernatorial and State Assembly election, the new Labour Party, LP, chairman in Rivers State, Hilda Dokubo, has warned that women in the State will resist any attempt to repeat what transpired during the Presidential and National Assembly election.

Dokubo claimed an unnamed governor and his commissioners hijacked and changed results during the February 25 election.

Her warning is contained in a post via her Twitter handle on Wednesday.

Dokubo said that the women in the State demand a free, fair and credible election.

“Rivers women will not forget the Governor who hijacked and changed results, the commissioners who converted their homes to collation centres, Local government chairmen who used touts to intimidate citizens and INEC adhoc staff who aided the stealing of the people’s mandate but any attempt, or group of attempts or attempted attempts to carry out the same acts by the same culprit will not be accepted by the women. Our demand is for a free, fair and credible election,” she tweeted.
