Security agencies comb Kaduna metropolis ahead governorship, state assembly election

Ahead of the governorship and state House of Assembly election on Saturday, March 18, 2023, a joint task force of security agencies went round the Kaduna metropolis to checkmate the activities of criminals

The combined security agencies included the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Nigeria Police Force and Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, among others spread across Kaduna and its environs to show that they are ready to protect lives and property, as they expect voters to come out en masse and vote for candidates of their choice without fear of intimidation.

Media Talk Africa correspondent observed that in most cases, they moved around in a convoy across the state to register their presence.

One of the officers who spoke to Media Talk Africa in confidence said as they moved round the town, they observe likely dark spots for more redeployment and reinforcement.

The officer, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, further explained that their movement is an advance warning to troublemakers and electoral fraudsters to desist from their criminal-minded activities or face the consequences of their actions.
