Refer to IREV for election results – INEC to Jigawa residents

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has asked Nigerians to always refers to IREV for the official results of the commission.

Resident Electoral Commissioner Jigawa State, Professor Muhammad Lawal Bashar stated while briefing newsmen on the preparation for the 18th March 2023 Governorship election.

He said the commission is fully prepared for the conduct of free, fair, and credible elections.

“We are fully prepared for the conduct of the elections and we have taken steps to address some challenges in the previous elections”

He explained that all the results for the governorship and state Assembly elections will be immediately uploaded directly from the polling units on its results viewing Portal IRev.

Professor Bashar explained that in the areas where there is no internet connectivity, the result will be uploaded after the collation of the results.

” We have done everything possible to make sure of the concurrent declaration of results at polling units with the upload of that results to the IRev”

“All measures had already been put in place, despite this there some local areas within the local govt whereby there is no internet connectivity at the polling units”

“so there has to be a movement of Bvas after capturing the result sheet to move those Bvas to areas where there is internet connectivity for upload.”

He, therefore, advised Nigerians to always refer IREV Portal for the election results.
