Ondo NAWOJ gets acting chairperson

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Ondo State chapter, has appointed Mrs Tola Gbadamosi as the acting Chairperson of the association.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary of the association, Oluwatosin Ighoteguono on Friday.

The emergence of Gbadamosi follows the redeployment of the Ondo State chairperson of the association, Mrs Doris Olumoko to Abeokuta, Ogun State as the Manager News, NTA Abeokuta.

The association appreciates Mrs Olumoko for her work, efforts, intelligence and doggedness in ensuring that the association in the state operates effectively.

Until her exit from the association in the state, Olumoko advocated for promoting the rights of women, widows and the girl child in her programmes.

It implores the acting chairperson to perform greater accomplishment with executives and members of the association pending the emergence of a substantiveĀ chairperson.
