Sen. Yahya Oloriegbe, APC-Kwara Central, says the 2023 electioneering process is one of the best in the history of Democracy in Nigeria.

Mr Oloriegbe made the assertions while addressing journalists, shortly after he cast his vote at the Ode-Oloriegbe Polling Unit 008, Alore area, Ilorin.

According to him, I am one of those that advocated the usage of electronics for transmission of results at the National Assembly and to consider the peculiarity of different areas and communities to enhance credibility of the elections.

He said that the last presidential elections indicated that Nigerians really elected the candidate of their choice.

Mr Oloriegbe said that the president-elect did not win in his state, President Muhammadu Buhari, also could not deliver his state to the party, indicating that people choose who they want to rule them.

According to him, it has become the tradition that whosoever want to be the Nigerian president should win states like Kano, Lagos, Katsina and Kaduna, among others, but the current situations proved otherwise.

He said that the 10th National Assembly would be unique and vibrant, saying that eight political parties would be representing Nigerians in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Mr Oloriegbe said that if you closely observed the results of the presidential elections, you would appreciate the gaps and margins which indicated the clear winner of the elections.
