The All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, is currently leading the race, according to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). So far, INEC has announced results from eleven local government areas (LGAs). The Catholic priest tops the vote in eight LGAs by a wide margin, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Titus Uba, leads in three LGAs.
