INEC declares APC’s Uba Sani winner of Kaduna governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Uba Sani, has been declared the winner of the 2023 governorship election in Kaduna State.

The returning officer Professor Lawal Suleiman Bilbis said Mr Sani polled a total of 730,002 votes to defeat his closest rival, Isa Ashiru of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 719,196 votes.

Mr Bilbis, who is the vice chancellor of Usmanu Dan Fodio University, Sokoto, said the Labour Party candidate, Jonathan Asake, came third after polling 58,283 votes.

Hre added that the candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Suleiman Hunkuyi, scored 21,405 votes to emerge fourth.
