The All Progressives Congress (APC) won 23 of the 24 seats in the Kwara State House of Assembly, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured the remaining seat. The PDP’s elected member is Afolabi Taiye of the Odo‑Ogun State Constituency. APC members‑elect include Yakubu Salihu‑Danladi (Ilesha/Gwanara), Bamigboye Olajire (Oke‑Ero), Baba Yisa Gideon (Lafiagi), Abdullahi Danbaba (Kaiama/Wajibe/Kemanji) and Ahmed Baba (Gwanabe/Adena/Banni), among others.

A total of five women were elected to the Kwara State House of Assembly for the 10th legislative session, which will be inaugurated in June. The women are Rukayat Shittu (Owode/Onire), Arinola Lawal (Ilorin East), Medinat Abdul‑Raheem (Lanwa/Ejidongari), Aishat Babatunde‑Alanamu (Ilorin North‑West) and Mariam Aladi (Ilorin South). This marks a change from the previous 9th Assembly (2019‑2023), when all 24 members were male.

Hajia Mopelola Abdulmalik‑Bashir, a former Commissioner for Women Affairs in the state, recently remarked that the current Chairman of the Committee for Women Affairs in the House of Assembly is a man. She questioned whether he had experienced the challenges of child‑bearing, menstruation, lactation and breastfeeding.

Additional elected members include Abolarin Ganiyu (Ekiti), Ojo Oyebode (Oke‑Ogun), Yusuf Abdulwaheed (Essa/Sawo/Igboidun), Lawal Saliu (Oloru/Malete/Ipaye), Bello Yinusa‑Oniboki (Afon), Segun Oguniyi (Ojomu/Balogun), Omotosho Razaq (Isin), Olusola Odetundun (Irepodun), Maryam Aladi (Ilorin South), Magaji Abdulkadir (Ilorin Central), AbdulRazaq Owolabi (Share/Oke‑Ode), Salahudeen Ganiyu (Omupo/Igbaja), Mohammed Kareem Musa (Patigi) and Mohammed Baba (Okuta/Yashikira).
