Ramadan: Dino Melaye seeks atonement for INEC, APC

Senator Dino Melaye, one of the spokespersons for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has asked God to use the month of Ramadan to right the wrongs of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Melaye’s prayer is contained in a post via his Twitter handle on Thursday.

Recall that the Muslim faithful entered the month of Ramadan on Wednesday, a holy month according to Islamic teaching.

Media Talk Africa reported that Melaye’s principal, Atiku had filed a suit at the presidential election petition tribunal challenging the declaration of Bola Tinubu of the APC by INEC as the president-elect.

Atiku is asking the court to nullify the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 presidential election, which he believed was rigged against him.

Meanwhile, Melaye is using the Ramadan month to ask God for the atonement of the sins of the APC and the electoral commission.

He wrote, “Happy Ramadan. Oh God!! use this holy period to right the wrongs of INEC and APC, we pray thee oh Lord. Amen.”
