The Kano State Hisbah Board has deployed personnel to mosques across all 44 local government areas of the state. According to the board’s Commander General, Sheikh Harun Ibn Sina, the deployment is part of efforts to safeguard lives and property during the Ramadan period. He told reporters on Thursday that the corps will visit mosques during iftar, tarawih, and tahajjud prayers to protect worshippers and their belongings from criminal elements.

Sheikh Ibn Sina added that the board will intensify actions to arrest individuals engaged in social vices and to remove those who disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the state. Hisbah personnel will also apprehend anyone who violates Islamic teachings during Ramadan, including TikTok users who make derogatory comments.

The commander appealed to the public, especially affluent individuals, to assist orphans and the needy. He emphasized that feeding the less‑fortunate during the holy month is especially rewarding, as Allah (SWT) opens the doors of Paradise for such deeds. “One can give clothes, food items, grains, water and cash to those in need to gain Allah’s rewards,” he explained.
