Manchester City are preparing to offer striker Erling Haaland a lucrative new contract, reportedly worth £500,000 per week. This would make him the highest‑paid player in the Premier League, surpassing his current £375,000‑a‑week wage, which he shares with teammate Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The 22‑year‑old Norwegian has already netted 42 goals for City, a tally that has attracted interest from Real Madrid, who are believed to be keen on signing him in the summer of 2024. Haaland’s existing contract runs until 2027, but the club plans to negotiate an extension at the end of the season, adding an extra year to keep him despite the Spanish giants’ pursuit.
