The Lagos State Government has arrested four suspected hoodlums—Tunji Oyedeji, Allison Ozin, Taiwo Olubodun and Awotunde Ahmed—while they were attempting to extort motorists in the Amuwo‑Odofin area.

During a weekend parade of the suspects, the state’s Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Fredric Oladeinde, pledged that the government will not tolerate illegal acts or the harassment of motorists and truck drivers conducting lawful business. He emphasized that continuous sting operations across the state will help maintain an environment free of such criminal activity.

Dr Oladeinde noted that the ongoing arrests demonstrate the government’s determination to create an enabling environment devoid of miscreants’ activities. The four individuals have been handed over to the Lagos State Task Force for further investigation and prosecution.

He urged residents to desist from illegal activities, warning that anyone who does so will face the full force of the law under the state’s Transport Sector Reform Law 2018.
