Agoye confident Sunshine Stars will qualify for NPFL Super Six tourney

Sunshine Stars head coach, Edith Agoye has reiterated the team’s desire to secure a place in the season ending Super Six competition.

The top three teams in Group A and B will clash to determine the overall winner of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The Owena Waves moved to third position on the Group B table after coming from behind to draw 1-1 against Wikki Tourists in Bauchi on Sunday

Agoye said with the quality of players signed during mid-season break, he is confident they will make the Super Six

“Once again I will say we are working towards achieving that Super Six target.” the former Shooting Stars gaffer told Media Talk Africa

“We recruited well during the break and it reflected in the result against Wikki Tourists.

“Our team is now stronger and we are sure we will meet our target at the end of the season.”

Sunshine Stars have a chance to further improve their position on the table when they take on newcomers Doma United on Wednesday.
