Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has appointed Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun as the state’s new Head of Service, according to a statement released in Abeokuta on Monday night by Secretary to the State Government Mr. Tokunbo Talabi. The appointment takes immediate effect.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Fagbohun succeeds Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, who retired from public service on Friday. The statement describes Fagbohun as “a multidisciplinary specialist with a rich social‑science background, with core competence in human resources, perception and reputation management.” He was the 2007 Merit Award winner in the Ogun State Public Service.

Before his latest appointment, Fagbohun served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. He has also held Permanent Secretary positions in the Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services and the Bureau of Service Matters, among other roles.
