The Federal High Court in Abuja affirmed on Tuesday evening that Chief Victor Oye is the lawful National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Justice James Omotoso, in his judgment, noted that the decisions of the Federal High Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court all confirm Oye’s legitimacy as the party’s National Chairman.

Justice Omotoso described Edozie Njoku as a “meddlesome interloper” who sought to benefit from a struggle in which he had no part. The court also condemned legal practitioner CN Nwagwu for deliberately misleading the bench, causing unnecessary confusion and wasting judicial time. Omotoso criticized Nwagwu’s conduct as unbecoming of a lawyer of his standing, stating that he failed to act as a minister in the temple of justice.

As a result of the judgment, the court removed Njoku, who had been claiming the chairmanship of the political party.
